Although its size and the design suggests, the Acer Aspire 1810T is not actually a netbook. Indeed, where competitors have a choice of Intel Atom processor, the Taiwanese manufacturer prefers a low-power Pentium. The SU4100 is thus supposed to offer better battery life. Despite its name seems “quaint”, this processor is proposed since late last year by Intel. 64-bit compatible, it has the advantage of integrating two cores to run multiple operations simultaneously without blocking the computer. That said, its operating frequency remains very modest and should not be too much to ask either.
Features of Acer Aspire :
- Processor: Intel Pentium SU4100 (1.3 GHz)
- Memory: 4GB
- Screen: 11.6 inch (1366 x 768)
- Graphics: Intel GMA 4500 MHD
- Hard Drive: 250 GB
- Connectivity: No WiFi, memory card reader 5 in 1, 3 USB ports, HDMI and VGA outputs
- Weight: 1.4 kg
- OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

It may still work and enjoy multimedia applications, especially as the onboard memory as the hard disk are very comfortable for the category. However, the graphics card is limited to the minimum in the case of an integrated model. Needless to consider any 3D game, is better in this case move toward a solution based on Nvidia’s ION. Still, thanks to the HDMI, it will be possible to display the desktop on a compatible monitor. Add to that a keyboard and mouse that plug into one of three USB ports and the Acer Aspire 1810T becomes a desktop. Another notable difference, the memory is comfortable with not less than 4 GB of Widely which supports Windows 7 in its Home Premium and keep multiple applications open without resorting to swap the hard drive that is fatal to the performance.
