iDTGV the name of a specific range of travel by TGV (thematic travel environments, attractive prices, booking 100% Internet) sold by the SNCF, has launched its first application iphone , in addition to running a website Mobile. The application includes 9 items (“My Trips”, “My m-tickets”, “Book” …) to make life easier for travelers.

The big news is on the m-ticket presented as “a first in France.” It includes a barcode with the information needed for the trip (“atmosphere iDTGV” train number and space, file number, name and surname of the passenger …). Thanks to this new medium, it is now possible to choose not only its place but all the options available on board.The application also proposes sending notifications in “real time” to prevent delays, cancellations, assignments, or alternatives available to travelers.

With regard to entertainment, from the menu, there is first a function iD’Chat that lets you talk to people present in the same train you. Pratique pour fixer un rendez-vous dans le compartiment restaurant par exemple. Practice to make an appointment in the compartment restaurant for example. A tab “destination” can provide much information about your arrival city.

An area of “entertainment” (games, books, music …) is also planned. It provides information on events taking place on the train again and gives you access to select applications App Store. The application also offers an option to rent a portable DVD player to complement the trip.

The launch of the iPhone application is new but already lists iDTGV 80 000 downloads. Between 3000 to 4000 m-tickets have already been generated. The mobile application will be available on other platforms in 2011 for terminals Android and Windows Phone 7.
